About Us

Welcome to A and N Dachshunds. We specialize in miniature dachshund breeding. We have Creams, Piebalds and other colors. We have all coats…Smooth, Longhair and Wire.  

We are located in Elgin, Texas which is 20 miles east of Austin on Hwy 290. We have a small farm which we raise dogs, paint horses and cattle.  

My husband and I have raised and showed paint horses for 15 years or more. All that time I had a red smooth dachshund male named “Roger” that I adored. We never left home without him. When he died of cancer at 14 years old, it was like losing a family member. I had read about the piebald dachshund and

decided that was what I wanted to get.
When I found a place to buy them, we ended up buying a male and two females. That was 15 years ago.  All my litters are carefully planned both for quality and temperament. They are raised in a clean environment with loving care. Our dachshund puppies are born in the house and handled daily.  

All puppies come with a health guarantee. All our dogs and puppies are kept current on shots and worming.

My husband, Arthur, is the man behind the scenes. He helps me a lot with the cleaning and taking care of the dogs. He is the one that takes them to the vet at 2:00 am or bottles the babies when mother refuses to have anything to do with them.  
Our grandson Trevor promotes our doxies by sporting his doxie wear and dachshund stuffed animal. Next to him is our black & tan puppy "Smarty Jones" .
